This is the first sermon in the series titled “Acts in 3 Acts: Act 1”.
Theme – As we study the book of Acts, we discover that God’s people—the church—is really a “reboot” of a system that had long been in effect. God had called the people of Israel to be his chosen people, not because he loved them more or they were more spiritual or more special than other people—they were chosen to be a blessing to the world. When Israel failed, God rebooted the system. In Acts we begin to see a new people of God begin to emerge, a people that welcomes everyone and makes known the God who loves everyone.
The text for the sermon was taken from Acts 1:1-11.
