This is the seventh sermon in the series titled “Acts in 3 Acts: Act 1”.
Theme – Every crisis brings two possibilities: you can either grow because of the crisis, or you can be destroyed by the crisis. Put differently, every crisis is a turning point. The early church faced a crisis as they began to outgrow their ability to keep track of those who were needy. This crisis could have been the church’s undoing. Instead, it became the opportunity through which the church developed new structures and new leadership in order to more effectively live out their calling as the people of God.
The text for the sermon was taken from Acts 6:1-7.
