The message this morning was provided by Nate Landis. This was the eighth sermon in the series titled “Acts in 3 Acts: Act 1”.
Theme -- Stephen highlights the story of Moses in Acts 7 to teach us that ordinary people can live extraordinary lives. This happens when we have a true encounter with the living God. Despite Moses’ past as a murderer and a deserter of his people, God uses him. Despite Moses’ present struggles with public speaking, fear of Pharaoh, and his reluctance to obey, God uses him. Once Moses was willing to lay down everything in his hand, then God uses him as a liberator of millions of people. If God can use a Moses, then we are a “shoe in” for being used by God!
The text for the sermon was taken from Acts 7:20-38.
