This is the second sermon in the series titled “Christmas Soundtrack”.
Theme – When we think of the Christmas story, we don’t usually think of Zechariah. In fact, most people who know the Christmas story probably haven’t even heard of Zechariah. Yet, the song that he sings at the birth of his son, John the Baptist, is an important part of the Christmas story, especially in the way that it highlights the “tender mercy” of God.
The text for the sermon was taken from Luke 3:1-6, Luke 1:57-79.
