Child Care
We are committed to providing quality care for Infants from birth to 18 months old in our infant care room and for children 18 months to three years of age in our toddler care room during worship services so that parents have the opportunity to devote their attention to worship.
For the safety of your child, we require each child to be signed in upon arrival and signed out when they are picked up. Each child will be required to wear a wristband that includes your name and a cell phone number should we need to reach you during the worship service. Additionally, the parent and/or guardian will be given a wristband with the child’s name and the care provider’s cell phone number.
Children will be released ONLY to the person wearing the appropriate wristband. NO exceptions will be made to this policy, so please do not send someone else to pick up your child.
A Caring Environment
We are committed to providing your child with a safe, healthy, caring environment.
Very devoted and qualified volunteers who minister to the children with loving and gentle hearts staff the infant and toddler care rooms. You are welcome to visit or stay with your child at any time.
We encourage each child, through our example, to respect themselves and others, to find appropriate ways to express their emotions and frustrations, problem-solve together to settle misunderstandings and disagreements, and to share.
All children experience separation anxiety and we will assist children through the initial adjustment period. However, if a child remains upset and is unable to calm himself/herself or be distracted, we will page the parent/guardian.
A Healthy Environment
In an effort to maintain a healthy environment and in consideration of your child’s comfort and the health of other children, if your child shows any of the following symptoms, we ask that you do not bring them to the infant or toddler care rooms.
- Fever
- Runny Nose with colored mucous
- Vomiting
- Pink Eye: Red, watery or crusty eyes
- Listlessness
- Excessive cough-sore throat
- Unexplained rash or sores
For the health of the children, all toys are cleaned with antibacterial wipes at the end of each day.
Snacks
Healthy, age appropriate snacks are provided to your child (for example, goldfish or animal cookies). If your child has any food allergies, please be sure to let the caregiver know. If you have a specific snack for your child in their diaper bag please let the caregiver know this as well.
